Double Gold for Healthcare

GOLD CAP Awards were claimed by both the catering and housekeeping departments at Bon Secours Tralee.  An impressive performance was delivered by both departments with their qualitative and financial ‘scores’ marking the achievement of GOLD across the CAP criteria.  Across the scoring categories including food service / tasting, cleanliness, HACCP, staff development, infection control, ‘value for money’ and due diligence records, the two departments impressed during the assessment visit.  The team is still looking to progress further with the CAP Action Plan providing some guidance and ‘tools of the trade’ to help.  Importantly the hospital has shown what can be achieved both financially and qualitatively within the healthcare environment
