The smart Hermitage Medical Centre in Dublin’s Old Lucan Road has become the latest organisation to achieve three successive years of CAP Gold awards for its housekeeping.
Mary Shore, COO/Head of Nursing & Clinical Services enthused on the importance of a strong housekeeping service by saying: “It is so important to remind all of the crucial work being undertaken by this dedicated team – excellent result and richly deserved.”
The Gold achievement was all the more noteworthy given that building work was in progress at the time of the CAP assessment and that the Clinic had recently appointed a new manager. “It was a strong performance with a seamless working relationship between the housekeeping team and the Medical Centre. Credit to both parties,” says CAP Chief Assessor, Ian Jackson, pointing out that CAP Gold awards are not handed out easily. “Triple golds are very rare and serve to highlight the exceptional accomplishments of organisations that pursue the Continuous Advancement Programme over successive years,” he added.
